The partnership is set to unveil its first product, a vision sensing module equipped with an inertial sensor, by 2027. This innovative system is engineered to integrate data from various sources, including visual, motion, direction, and sound inputs. The goal is to enhance robots’ ability to interpret and respond to their surroundings more effectively while minimizing the distortion of images that typically results from movement.
In addition to vision sensing, the collaboration is also focused on developing a tactile sensing module, which is expected to mimic the functionality of human skin. This module aims to enable robots to detect touch and pressure through their hands, arms, and bodies, providing them with an enhanced sense of touch. The tactile sensing technology is also slated for completion in 2027, marking a significant step forward in tactile AI applications.
